This is my simple stepping robot, sort of like dragging or crawling actually, but hey it won for its cool use of programming to create a very adaptable line follower.
direct drive motors to the legs let it shift the rotaional direction really quickly, and crossed over sensors actually switched off the opposite leg to make it turn.
The motors run in reverse to make the step go forward.
It came first at the LEGO mindstorm website against some hexapods and other designs.
